If you receive error 1401 when trying to install TurboCAD, you will need to disable user account control.
In Windows Vista the easiest way to disable user account control is to open the control panel and type user account into the search box.
Click the link for “Turn User Account Control (UAC) on or off”
Uncheck the box “Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer”
Then after restarting your computer you should then be able to install TurboCAD.
The installer for Sketchup that is included with TurboSketch will not run on Windows Vista. To use TurboSketch on Windows Vista you must first download the latest version of Sketchup from Google. TurboSketch should then install properly.
TurboCAD Professional 14.1 is now available for download. Block reference points, moving openings and issues with the DWG/DXF filter have all been fixed. There have also been improvements to constraints, dimensions, style manager, ui themes and walls. The IGS and DWF filters have also been updated.

To be sure that you have installed v14.1 correctly open TurboCAD then select About TurboCAD… from the help menu. You will then be able to see that you have 14.1 installed.
If you are getting this message…
You will need to turn off data execution protection on your machine.
Right click on Computer, and choose Properties
Click on Advanced System Settings, and then under Advanced, click Settings
Select the “Data Execution Protection” tab, and then click “Turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services only”
Restart your computer and you should now be able to run TurboCAD.
If you receive the message the serial number is missing or invalid when trying to launch TurboCAD in Windows Vista right click and run as administrator. We are researching what is causing this in Vista and will hopefully have a fix soon. In the meantime you will be able to use TurboCAD by running as an administrator.
