A/CAD Viewer Beta is Now Available

IMSI/Design is excited to announce that we are releasing a public beta of a new A/CAD Viewer for both the Apple® Mac OS and Microsoft® Windows® operating systems.

The Mac version of the beta is here!

The Mac version of the Beta will be available soon from this web site. It is expected before the end of January with the PC version in February. There will be forums for beta testers to discuss the beta and communicate about cool features, product requests, or report bugs.& We are inviting everyone to participate in this public beta, but we are especially excited to have Mac users.

The A/CAD Viewer requires OS X 10.4 or 10.5 for the Mac, or Microsoft Windows XP or Vista for the PC.

NOTE: The current version of the beta requires an Intel™ based Mac to run.

The New patch for Turbosketch is ready and available to be downloaded.

Cadsymbols Version 2 Error 1309 when loading

If you experiencing an error when loading your Cadsymbols Version 2 disk.

The walk around for loading this program.

1. Run from CD this will allow you to enter the serial numbers and activation code.

2. After this is done open the CD by right clicking on the CD and opening it.

3. Click and Drag the CadSymbols 2.0 file from the CD to your desktop.

4. Open the Cadsymbols 2.0  create a new shortcut for Cadsymbols, then add this to the desktop.

After this has been done you will be able to open the program by clicking on the CadSymbols 2.0 Folder on your desktop.

TurboCAD and Leopard open DWG files.

If you are experience difficulties opening DWG file with TurboCAD for Mac while using the operating system Leopard.

This issue could be cause by the lack of available memory on your computer when opening a large DWG file.  The reason for this is could be cause by large file size increase when you convert a DWG over to TurboCAD.  Since TurboCAD does not have blocks all of the blocks are exploded as part of the geometry. To solve this issue and to be able to open large DWG files. Recommendations are to install 2 gigs of memory on to your computer.

TurboCAD Designer $10 Rebate

There is a misprint on one of the rebate stickers on our TurboCAD Designer v14 boxed product.  The zip code is printed as 8554-0030 and should be 88554-0030.

Lets all welcome Michael Onizuka. He has taken over my duties in our tech support department for about a month now. He will also be posting on this blog as well. I have replaced George McNamara as the associate project manager. George has started his own business selling bicycle parts he has been designing with TurboCAD over the last couple years.
