Anyone know why TurboCAD Designer v.12 asks for a XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX format serial number when the one provided on the install CD is only XXXX-XXXX-XXXX?

There is a misprint on the label.

We just recently purchased turbocad 14 deluxe. I am having a problem in that I want to set up the pop up menus for the mouse (right click) however when we enter the cusotmize screen there is no tab for pop-up toolbars. It shows in the help routine that there is, but we don’t have it. I have been an Autocad user for the last 12 years where I use the mouse and the keyboard. Please Help!!!!

Thank You

The customization of pop-up toolbars is an option that is only available in TurboCAD Professional.

We are moving data from servers that where off site on site. When this is finished we should be able to get the community site back up.

Hie I have FloorPlan v11 and when I bought it I also got TurboCAD v10.2. My problem is that I can not open my projects from FloorPlan in TurboCAD although the file format is supposed to be supported. Please help?

Floorplan v11 is a newer program than TurboCAD 10. You would need TurboCAD v12 or above to open up Floorplan 11 files.

I have v14 Deluxe on Vista Home Premium. I am having an issue with the mouse “snapping” to a point near the lower left corner of the screen when the window is maximized, or to a point about two inces to the left of the window (but still near the bottom) when the window is not maximized. The issue seems to only occur when I am viewing or editing files larger than a title block. Small files do not seem to have the problem. There are several different actions that seem to cause the mouse pointer to snap to the same point on the screen:

1. When hovering over a flyout icon, when the tooltip pops up, the mouse pointer snaps to the same point.

2. When I attempt to use the slider bars on the drawing window, the computer “thinks” for half a second, then snaps the pointer to the same point.

3. When using the mouse wheel to zoom in/out of a drawing, I see the mouse pointer snap to the same point, but only for an instant, before it returns to where it was on the drawing.

The issues seem to be related to just model space, because I can do any of the above items in paper space windows without a problem.

Please help…

I recently upgrated from TC 11.1 to TC 14.1 Pro.
I would like to be able to save drawings to an earlier version so I can open them with version
TC 11.1. The only earlier version avaible in the save as, seems to be V. 12 and this does not help me. The instruction book say’s to save it as TC 8 V.
Am I missing something, and how can I fix this problem?

Also when I save as Autocad 2000 I cannot open the file whith Autocad 2000. Is their a fix comming for this problem?

Thanks

There is an error in the manual. TurboCAD can save drawings one version previous to its own.

Some people have experienced files being saved as DWG 2004 when they try and save as 2000. You may want to save as r14 until this is resolved.

Could you please help I am upgrading both my computer and to turbo cad 14pro. I am looking at a;

DELL precision 490
XEON 5140 2.33hz 1333mhz 4mb
4 GB DDR 667 quad channel FBD memory
NVIDIA Quadro ffx 550 graphics card

My questions are will Vista running at 64 working with 14pro at 32?
If not will you be bring out 64 version?
Would I be better running a dual boot system and run turbo cad on XP as I keep hearing that there are many problems with Vista?
Which Vista will work best with TC?
It is imperative that I get this right as I cannot afford the time wasted while the software is not fit for this new OS.

Thanks

You will most likely have some issues running TurboCAD on a 64 bit OS. We do not at this time have any plans of making a 64 bit version of TurboCAD.

I have seen the least problems with Vista business and the most problems with Vista Ultimate and OEM versions.

What would you advise to run 32 bit vista with 14 pro?
Or go with the future and run 64 bit vista with 14 pro?
What types of conflicts am I likely to experience with these different versions.

I am a designer cabinet maker. I work in both 2d and 3d, rendering with wood images and having some metal parts made by CNC using step file transfer to the other companies.
I hope this is helpful for you to advise me in this time of change.
Thank you.

I am not sure if you do not wish to reply or that you are not sure how to reply.
Please let me help I have been using TC since V7 I am used to all the problems that have occurred over time. I like the program it works well for me and I get around the difficulties that all users experience. I therefore understand that it is hard for you to keep up with the every increasing changes.

Whilst I have been waiting I have been thinking about having two hard drives with a dual boot. One with Vista on and the other with XP loading TC onto the XP drive, when things are more stable moving over to Vista. Do you thick this is a good idea?
I will still need to know which is best to load vista 32 or vista 64?
Hoping for an answer soon.

Best wishes Bernard

There is not a 64 bit version of TurboCAD. I would recommend XP over Vista. How you would like to set that up is up to you.

I cannot seem to get door and window openings to insert correctly into walls. I have several pre-defined doors and windows (obtained from the TurboCAD 14 Architectural Tutorial published by IMSI), but when I go to insert them into a wall, they do not insert correctly (i.e., they don’t center within the wall depth) and they don’t remain after I hit escape to cancel the tool. At this point, they disappear when I refresh the view, as if they were never there.

This problem occurs in new drawings I create myself and in the sample drawings that came with the tutorial. It occurs with doors I define myself as well as the predefined doors and windows from the tutorial.

I am running v14 Deluxe.

Is this a bug or a known issue and is there a work around?

I am not sure if the Architectural tutorials are compatible with deluxe. Dose this happen with doors and windows from a new document?
